Supporting Our Students’ Well-being
At Elmhurst, we firmly believe that a student’s academic success is closely linked to their overall well-being. We are committed to fostering a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, supported and equipped to thrive both personally and academically.
Student well-being encompasses the emotional, mental, physical and social aspects of a student’s life. It is about helping students to feel good about themselves, building positive relationships, managing stress and approaching challenges with resilience. Our goal at Elmhurst is to support each student’s holistic development, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to succeed not just in school but in life.
Our Pastoral Care Services
We have a dedicated pastoral care system in place at Elmhurst to ensure that every student feels cared for and supported throughout their school journey. Our pastoral care team is made up of compassionate, trained professionals who are committed to the welfare of our students. They work closely with students, families and staff to create a supportive and responsive environment.
How to Access Pastoral Care
Students can access pastoral care by approaching any member of our pastoral care team directly, speaking to their class teacher, or reaching out through our confidential online portal. Parents and guardians are also encouraged to contact us if they have concerns about their child’s well-being. We are here to listen, support, and work together to ensure the best outcomes for every student.
A Shared Responsibility
We believe that student well-being is a shared responsibility that involves students, staff, parents, and the wider community. By working together, we can create a supportive network that empowers our students to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling, balanced lives.
