Elmhurst Celebrates Double Win at Bellevue Speech Competition

Posted: 6th December 2024

Delivering a speech is something even the most confident adult can struggle with, so it was really inspiring to see not one but three of our Elmhurst pupils (Dhruv Y5, Javade Y2 and Ethan Y1) performing in the national finals of the Bellevue Speech competition in front of judge Mark Malley, CEO of Bellevue.

In the end, Javade’s 100% awesome message proved to be the winner but Ethan was a close second – an impressive accolade as the youngest of the three finalists in the Key Stage 1 competition. Dhruv secured victory for the second year running, winning the Year 5&6 category as he charmed the judge in his role as CEO of dreams using the skills he has learned in Mr Brook’s drama productions

Congratulations! A double victory for Elmhurst although, of course, they were all winners to have made it to the National Finals!
