Elmhurst School for boys welcomed Marcia Williams into school. Marcia Williams is a prize winning author and illustrator whose books retell the classics in a distinctive, entertaining and accessible comic-strip style.
Some of her Williams’ most well know works include: The Romans: Gods, Emperors, and Dormice; Greek Myths; Tales from Shakespeare; Ancient Egypt: Tales of Gods and Pharaohs; and The Elephant's Friend and Other Tales from Ancient India.
Williams spent time reading excerpts from some of her books to the boys, and also did workshops with class groups teaching them how to write and illustrate stories in comic-strip style.
